ABOUT
I’m Diana. I am an IRS Enrolled Agent, qualified to represent taxpayers before every level of the IRS. I started this business in 2021 with a goal to make taxes more approachable for my friends and acquaintances.
Starting in 2016, I became a volunteer with VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance), a program offered nationally by the IRS. I was passionate about working with VITA, and while in Hartford I volunteered at five of the Hartford sites multiple times a week, and prepared taxes and back taxes for many community members. Working with VITA taught me how to address personal subjects delicately with complete strangers, an important part of my practice.
I worked in corporate accounting at Grant Thornton LLP until 2020, but working with individuals with diverse life paths and experiences has always appealed to me more than working for large corporations. This is largely because the impact is more tangible. In between my accounting jobs I have worked in many different gig and W2 jobs – from working as a bike messenger in Hartford and Chicago, wrenching on pedicabs in Chicago, or intermittent tenures at cafes and independent bookstores. All of these jobs (and the subsequent tax consequences) have taught me something, and all the people I’ve met along the way prompted me to start my business and offer informed taxpayer services for all people.
Taxes don’t have to be stressful if you have someone to walk you through the process and set up a plan. When you hire tax assistance, you permit yourself the time and headspace to work on the things that are important to you.
